ABOUT
Building on EBF Digital Thursdays 2020, this year’s edition will bring together experts from industry, policymakers and supervisors to share their insights on key developments in digital finance, driven by regulatory initiatives and industry priorities. On 28 October, we will explore digital operational resilience, third-party relationships and risk management, and cybersecurity in light of ongoing European legislative harmonization. This discussion will take place against the backdrop of the European Cybersecurity Month.
We will analyse the significance of access to data and infrastructure on 4 November. This is crucial for innovation in the financial industry within a landscape heavily influenced by tech firms and non-financial global actors. On this day, we will also examine digital tools such as eID and discuss open finance from a holistic perspective. Payments are at the heart of the financial industry and at the same time Central Bank Digital Currencies and the digital euro are raising important questions. We will delve into the evolution of the financial ecosystem, the phenomenon of CBDCs and the aspiration for ‘homegrown’ pan-European payment solutions on 18 November.
